Mrs.
Butler has been engaged in the full-time management of environmental
and toxic tort insurance claims settlements for over eighteen
years. Prior to joining Resolution Associates, Inc. in 2003,
she worked for the insurance industry. In 1989, she joined the
Law Department of The Travelers Insurance Company making coverage
determinations in environmental cases. Later, she became Environmental
Claims Liaison to the Reinsurance Department at Aetna, where
she resolved coverage disputes with Aetnas reinsurers in
complex claim matters. While at Aetna she helped establish reserve
and allocation methodologies for environmental, toxic tort and
product claims. Mrs. Butler began consulting on behalf of
policyholders in 1995, first as Claims Manager and Counsel and
then as Vice President of firms specializing in insurance archaeology,
negotiation and settlement of environmental claims for Fortune
500 Companies. Mrs. Butler has participated in negotiations
for over $185 Million in settlements. Mrs. Butler is a graduate
of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, the University
of Baltimore Law School and has attained the Associate Risk
Manager (ARM) designation. She is licensed to practice law in
Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Kathleen
M. Lewis, Vice President

Ms.
Lewis has been engaged in the full-time management of complex
insurance claims and insurance coverage issues for over nineteen
years. Prior to joining Resolution Associates, Inc. in 2003,
Ms. Lewis gained her experience originally representing insurance
carriers and for the past seven years, negotiating on behalf
of policyholders. In 1987, she was in private legal practice
in New York, where she defended insurance carriers in insurance
coverage litigation of environmental claims. Her clients included
The Hartford and other domestic insurance carriers. After nearly
seven years in private practice, Ms. Lewis served as Major Claims
Counsel for CIGNA Property & Casualty,
advising the Environmental Claims Management Department on coverage
issues and how to settle both litigated and non-litigated environmental
claims. Ms. Lewis began consulting for policyholders upon joining
KPMGs Alternative Dispute Resolution Group in 1996. Ms.
Lewis has successfully negotiated over $125 Million in environmental
settlements between Fortune 1000 Companies and their domestic
and London Market insurers. Ms. Lewis is a graduate of Brooklyn
Law School, and received her undergraduate degree from the
State University of New York at Albany. She is admitted to
practice law in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Thomas
C. McCobb, Director of IT

Mr.
McCobb is responsible for Resolution Associates automated
systems for claims management and settlement analysis. Mr. McCobb
joined Resolution Associates, Inc. after fourteen years experience
as a computer application developer. He specializes in financial
computer systems, originally for law firms that needed database
management and time-based billing systems. Prior to computer systems
development, Mr. McCobb practiced law for eighteen years in both
the public and private sector in New York. Mr. McCobb received his
Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University of Law, and received his
undergraduate degree from Colgate University, New York.
Christopher
W. Reichow, Director

Mr.
Reichow has been managing complex insurance claims and coverage
issues for over eleven years. In 2006, Mr. Reichow joined Resolution
Associates after working for eight years as U.S. Legal Counsel
for KWELM Management Services handling the run-off of eight insurance
carriers domiciled in Bermuda, England and the United States.
While at KWELM, Mr. Reichow was responsible for U.S. matters
in relation to the Claims and Reinsurance Departments, handling
the resolution of claims related to asbestos, environmental,
medical malpractice, products liability, specialty lines and
toxic tort. Prior to working for KWELM, he worked in private
practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey where he defended insurance
carriers in insurance coverage litigation involving asbestos, construction
defect and products liability. Mr. Reichow received his
Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law and his Masters
in Business Administration from New York University, Stern School
of Business. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland, New Jersey,
New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
Grace Gavigan, Regional

Ms. Gavigan has extensive
experience in negotiating settlements on behalf of companies
and the insurance industry for the past six years. She recently
joined Resolution Associates, Inc. after working as in-house
counsel for an electric cooperative in Arizona, spearheading
settlement negotiations in a high-profile lawsuit, and was responsible
for the cooperative’s electrical supply
and real estate contracts and negotiations. Prior to her in-house
position, Ms. Gavigan worked for two years in the Environmental
Claims Management Department for CIGNA Property & Casualty,
managing CIGNA’s environmental claims and lawsuits. She has
extensive negotiation experience, making coverage decisions for
both large and small environmental claims. Ms. Gavigan received
her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law, and
received her undergraduate degree from The University of Scranton,
Pennsylvania.
